Entrepreneurship & Motivation
By Shray Rai Tiwari (Vice President, AIESEC India)
Before talking about Entrepreneurship let’s throw a thought to what we have in abundance “Jobs” (some people might disagree with a high degree to this get up in the morning and decide what should be the easier ways to cut the never ending traffic and make out way through it. We have reached a level where we contain what we can do, think. Once the paycheck arrives at the end of the month we feel relieved, though only for a little while, that we have our needs mets). W. By the 10th of the month the waiting starts all over again. We have to endure the rest of the month until the next paycheck.
We are not the masters of our own fate in-fact; we have are the servants of our needs. Maslow’s spoke about theory in 1943 in his paper “A theory of Human Motivation”. He said we need to move up in hierarchy but we as acceptable humans have devised our way to cut through and sculptured ways to articulate for achieving later needs.
Let me throw some light on what Entrepreneurship can do to you and your *Life*. First of all, it is misunderstood or over understood. Entrepreneurship is more than simply “starting a business.” It is a process through which individuals identify opportunities, allocate resources, and create value. This creation of value is often through the identification of unmet needs or through the identification of opportunities for change.
Entrepreneurs see “problems” as “opportunities,” then take action to identify the solutions to those problems and the customers who will pay to have those problems solved.
Entrepreneurial success is simply a function of the ability of an entrepreneur to see these opportunities in the marketplace, initiate change (or take advantage of change) and create value through solutions.
Are you a Perfect employee? Yes
What is wrong with it? Everything
You are not what you do. Your work is not who you are. Unfortunately, our education system hasn’t helped in this regard. It has trained us to become what we study. If you study law you become a lawyer, studying auto mechanics makes you a mechanic and studying cooking makes you a cook.
There are Thousands of people who will stand victorious after taking a trophy from their bosses on AGMs, that time while sharing they probably don’t realize they have marked 2 more years of serving. Their is not much wrong in helping someone make money. You can never earn more than your boss and he will always show you that.
But, what do i need? Risk
I am not saying you should put everything on stake as i know risk won’t take care of our livelihood but it can surely give you a sense of accomplishment of earning the same amount as your job.
You have freedom and you don’t take orders, you listen to yourself, you think of different tangent, the scope of impact has increased and that is not it.
You are an Entrepreneur (I know everyone likes being called one these days).
Your business idea is not supposed to be a earth shattering news, it has to be a earth shattering plan and implementation(This is where most people fail).
How do i do it?
-> Put every idea which amuses you down on paper.
-> Choose top 10 from based on feasibility.
-> Try and compile some and make a bigger idea.
-> Give equal time to each idea.
-> Be open to feedback.
-> Share it with people, don’t be afraid of it being stolen; no one can implement your idea better than you.
-> Start on the Micro level, don’t think of going big initially.
-> Be open to market criticism(This is the time when you need motivation, as the world is on face).
-> Patience is the key.
“No idea is bad and no idea is super, it will always a pet of his master and it will bite him if doesn’t know how to treat him”

Balance in Life | AIESEC India
www.aiesec.in
When people think of balance I think the average first feeling especially for Indians would be the typical blindfolded lady straight from the movies with a balance beam in her right hand. However if we were scientific and checked in a dictionary, the word balance has various meanings, one of which i…

Sometimes you want to achieve something so much, that you direct all your efforts towards it with such intensity that all other things in life look secondary and unimportant. But obviously they are as important and will not wait for you. What is needed in such a situation, or in life in general perhaps, is a wider perspective or the ability to see the bigger picture. You need to be able to think and prioritize so that in the race called life, you cross all the hurdles without stumbling rather than only the one you have your eyes set on.

I waited 3 days contemplating on what message I would want to convey to the readers of this article. Something that would inspire, make people believe that there’s hope out there or that the Sun is yet to rise. However what I was trying to put down just didn’t feel right. On the 5th of October before I went to bed I updated my Blackberry Messenger status to – Think Different , not knowing that the next morning I would wake up to the death of a visionary – Steve Jobs Co-founder & Ex-CEO of Apple.
